Political donations are not tax deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes.

$800 is the maximum contribution allowed per individual per election cycle (the primary and general are separate cycles). The maximum for both primary and general per person is $1,600. A married couple may contribute up to $3,200. A business may also contribute a maximum of $1,600.
