Washington’s 45th Legislative District

The 45th Legislative District is located in the northeast part of King County, Washington. It includes the following areas:

  • Woodinville
  • Duvall
  • Carnation
  • Kirkland (roughly the portion north of Central Way)
  • Redmond (roughly the portion north of NE 104th St, plus the area east of the Redmond City Limits)
  • Sammamish (roughly the portion north of NE 16th St)
  • Kingsgate, North Juanita, Ames Lake, Hollywood Hill, Cottage Lake, Avondale, and the other unincorporated areas between these cities
  • Cherry Valley, Lake Joy, Lake Marcel, and other areas east of Duvall and Carnation

The northern boundary of the district is the Snohomish County line. The eastern boundary is roughly between Duvall and Skykomish. The southern boundary follows Griffin Creek, the Snoqualmie River, Tolt Hill Road, Redmond Fall City Road, zigzags through the northern part of Sammamish, East Lake Sammamish Parkway, 196th Avenue NE, NE 104th St, 166th Ave NE, NE 99th St, NE 98th St, NE 95th St and NE 90th St in North Rose Hill, and Central Way in Kirkland. The western boundary is the Kirkland waterfront up to Juanita Beach, then follows 93rd Ave NE along the base of Finn Hill, NE 131st Way, NE 132nd St, 100th Ave NE, NE 145th St, I-405, zigzags through Queensgate and Lindemain, 124th Ave NE, and the Woodinville City limits to the county line.

The 45th District overlaps portions of the Lake Washington, Northshore, Riverview, and Snoqualmie Valley school districts. It is served by Lake Washington Technical College, Cascadia Community College, Bellevue Community College, and the University of Washington at Bothell.
